Repeat after me

Warnew,

Honestly, you never cease to amaze me. This time however, I am truly taken back. I think because I was mentally prepared for previous milestones (because I had seen you work on them), they didn't hit me as hard (hard but this is rough).

It is ridiculously clear through these letters and accounts that you love music. Yesterday, Gram, Pop, and Great Gram and Pop brought you up to my job to eat lunch. They told me you had been saying, "old mcdonald" the whole way. Whatever guys. No seriously, Gram sung it 1 time and I heard, "old dick da." Holy cow! You have said, "ei ei o" for a little while but this was huge. You continued to sing it all day today.

Speaking of today, Mr. Sponge was at it again. You kept repeating what we were saying. It is really freaking me out! We sang "pretty baby" you said, "pretty baby." Repeatedly. I called Mason,  Dad and I heard you reply, "Maon." You also started something new tonight that just baffles me. Mouthing words. I noticed that tonight while I was singing "away in a manger" and you were dancing with your manger (remember the nativity you love?), that you were moving your mouth (no words). We started singing "Happy birthday" to Gram and Great Gram and Pop and yet again, you mouthed the words. You continued throughout the evening.

As you can see by how quickly I wrote this note, I am extremely excited about all your new skills. Got to start watching my tongue!

Love,
Mommy (my favorite thing you say)

Unforgettable

Baby Boo,

I am not a forgetful person. However, I am a looney tune and sometimes when writing, I leave out things I shouldn't have. I apologize. Thankfully, I am able to redeem myself through the creation of this letter. Here are some things you missed...

one day while home with Daddy over Christmas break, you curled up with your caterpillar and just fell asleep in the middle of the playroom
you love the play place at Chick-fil-a and the one by our house has a ladder of sorts you must climb in order to reach the tunnels. the last time we went probably 3 weeks ago, you climbed to the top. here is you playing with a random child.
you can say, "ye aw" while riding your horse. you can rock back on forth on him too. yo ulove to push his ears and make him neah (spelling?).

you poop pretty regular. I always know about 20 minutes after breakfast it's gonna happen.

you are obsessed with Grammy and Pop's Fisher Price nativity. They couldn't put it away with all of the other Christmas paraphernalia because I know you would have missed it. There is a button at the top of it and you push it, grab it with tow hands and dance.
you like ice cream more than you should

when I said you love to bounce in my last letter I was referring to when you straddle my stomach and bounce on it. ow for me, fun for you.

you love carrying around soft blankets (not a new fact but needed mention)

we have started using a potty! i bought a seat for the potty and just set you on it before bath/shower time. you have yet to go and I am not pushing it but I just want you to get used to it.

you love the dishwasher. I let you "help" me unload it. Daddy...not so much.

your hair is no long enough to MOHAWK!
you no longer enjoy avocados and you don't like ketchup

If I think of more, I will add it and don't worry, I'l get better at adding details (lol).

Mommy

I run this ship

Ahoy Matey!

What a busy day! Ok not really. You tore apart went shopping at a couple stores then we got to hang out with A.J. and Wyatt.
love you man
This can't be good
As usual, you bullied the crap out of Wyatt. This time I think because he was playing with your toys. Kept grabbing his sippy away and would get so mad at him when he was playing with certain toys that you would pull his hair. I don't even know what to say except I hope preschool in the fall will help.

Here is a sample schedule just in case your curious (which I imagine you could care less):
Wake up and breakfast: 8 (you get a sippy of milk with whatever your breakfast is)
Nap: 11:30
Lunch: 1:30 or whenever you wake up
Nap: 5 (this one is depending on your mood)
Dinner: 6:30 (or whenever Dad and I eat)
Sippy of milk: 8:30 (7 oz.)
Bed: 9

The "cheese" has made a comeback!

You know how to bounce really well.
Another tooth has arrived. Bottom left of the bottom left (make sense?). Today, you pooped in the tub for the first time. Thankfully, you were all clean. Of course, when taking it out of the tub, I must have dropped some and stepped in it. There I go getting it all over the bathroom floor. Nice Jenny. After putting your diaper on, I went to pick out your clothes. I hear a Velcro noise and turn around to watch as you take off your diaper (first time), stand up, parade it around, then step on it.
You really do run this ship and we love it. You are a total goof
our nutty professor
and a bit of a daredevil

but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Love,
Momma

Long time no see

Baby Boo,
Whoa! Since the snow-a-poloza 4-day we have been busy bees! So much to update!

So the snow was rough in our neighborhood. Thankfully on the second night, the three of us went out to the Curry's to have a house-happy party. Benjamin (20 months), Grayson (4 months), and you (14.5 months) were a hoot. Grayson just watched as Benjamin would grab you by the hand and take you all over the house. Mrs. Charity kept saying, "sorry" and I kept reminding her not to worry. You loved getting into things being with Benjamin! There were a couple times when you grab Benjamin and yell, "ahhhr." One time Daddy heard it, went into the playroom and Ben was lying on the floor. Hmmmm...Anyway, happy to report the Ben taught you something. You now grab hands (or garments) and drag people around (Mr. Steven at Daddy's work).
Speaking of Daddy's work, you two stopped in yesterday and he put you to work!

You love you bulldog slippers! I am so happy I found a pair in your size (most babies with a size 3.5 shoe can't walk).
Still addicted to your two Baby Einstein movies.
Funny story about the stupid snow. Since our neighborhood was so bad and both Pop and Gram got stuck trying to rescue us from our cabin fever, we had a lot of Mommy Mason time. On Day 4, we needed a change of scenery. So your crazy Grandma came up with an escape plan. We walked. I put you in the stroller and pushed you through the ice where we met Grandma and walked to the front of the neighborhood where she parked. As you can imagine, we spent the night at Gram and Pop's. Snow is great....for 1 day!
I haven't taken many pictures lately but here are a few:

I really wish I could say you look like me and I do think you have my eyes, nose, and forehead.

You greatly enjoy taking my glasses off and trying to put them on

You are consistently sleeping at night. Even putting yourself to sleep when you don't want to. Thank you.
You also consistently amaze me. You are so smart. Even though you have been doing certain things for a while (pulling out toys you want, stepping out of clothes, pulling your shirt off, putting your hands up with I say, "upy goes" to take your shirt off, etc), every time you do them I am reminded how blessed I am to have such an intelligent little dude. It took you one play time to learn how to play the triangle. The first time you weren't able to hold both and hit the triangle. The next time you played with it, Daddy said you got it immediately. Of course, I got to see you play today.

You are out of 6-9 months clothes and wearing size 12m clothes (which really means 9-12mo.). We have tried 12-18 and the waist, length, and shirts are just too big still. Right now Target (circo and cherokee), Wal-Mart (jumping bean), and Polo 12 month fit the best.

Love you, Peanut,
Mommy

Cabin Fever

Mason,

While I am so happy to have extra time with you, we are both going a bit mad. On a normal day we are out and about. With the snow however, we are in. period. Although you have more toys than a toy store, you are still antsy. I too need a change of scenery. Daddy is at work and we are playing. Some pictures of you cabin crazy self.

Lots of tickling happening over here!

Love you,
Mommy

Snowpocalypse

Mason,

We left Grammy and Pop's last night after a fabulous game of Catch Phrase and meal of spaghetti at 9:00 last night. The weathermen have said over and over that a snowpocalypse (lots of snow in a short period of time and panicked Georgians) would begin. Dad and I aren't the type of people who invest much in the meteorologist's predictions, but thankfully we bought up BJ's yesterday. Back to the story. As we were leaving the snow was light. After an 8 minute ride and 10 minutes to get settled in, our front yard was covered. By the time 9:40 hit, we were hearing reports of road closings and traffic accidents. With all said and done (we still have a little freezing rain), here is 685 we got at least 7 inches! Daddy made in venture out to work. Who on Earth would buy lumber today? Thankfully his boss called him on the way and told him to head back. Family day!

yum
You had on two pairs of pants, two pairs of socks, two pairs of shoes, a hat, a hood, 2 shirts, and 2 jackets. Good enough, Grandma???

Love,
Mommy
play hard, sleep harder
