'Twas the night before Christmas

Mason,

Tonight was the night. Last year, this was me...drunk as a skunk.

Totally kidding. Since I had been contracting for 4 days, I was in a cooky mood and figure this would be a pretty silly pic (it was A.K.'s friends). After La Pa (surprise, surprise), Mom and A.K. wanted to take me to Marshall's (I wanted a Juicy Couture purse) but I just wasn't feeling totally up to it so Daddy took me home and I walked in circles for 3 hours while he laid thresholds. I was timing what I thought were contractions (I was right) and they seemed erratic so I didn't say anything to Dad. Since I knew something was up, before I went up to bed, I told him to kiss the belly goodbye (remember that big belly picture?).
I never made it to bed.
I went to the bathroom and lo and behold, I had lost my mucus plug (sorry if that's TMI buddy). Since I was 38 weeks along (turns out just at 37), I called the Dr. and it was my favorite one in the group. She told me to just go to the hospital. Since all of our friends were sent home with false labor and I was in no pain, we just grabbed our bag and left. Had I know an hour later I would be admitted, I totally would have spruced up.
I titled this letter perfectly. Your birth was like Christmas! The best present I have ever received.

Love,
Mommy

This was me on 10/30/2009 then us today

Pretty fly for a Wy Guy

Mason,

Yesterday and today we celebrated of your bestest buddy in the universe, Wyatt Charles. You and everyone else had a great time at the airplane themed bash on Saturday. It was funny seeing you walking amongst all of the adults. Of course, your buddy Jaks was there to help celebrate.

The best part of the party by far was cake time. After we sung to dear Wyatt, you began to smash his cake. You got wind of the fun and toddled right over and started eating icing. It then came to Jakson's attention that he was missing out and he then crawled over and you fed him icing.

Rub a dub dub, three men in a tub
Today the two of us went with Wy, A.J., A.J.'s cousin and her girls (who LOVE you) and A.J.'s mommy to the aquarium. You walked 98% of the time and wouldn't have had it any other way.  We had the best time at the penguin exhibit. I was teasing a penguin with a blanket just because I wanted you to see him (lol).

Laying on the floor...
Then we went out to lunch. You two boys stink at sharing! The minute A.J. or I would put food down, you would both grab giant handfuls as to say, "dude, don't hog the puffs!"
Love you buddy,
Mommy

When mom is away, the boys will play

While out celebrating Wyatt's grandmother's 25th birthday (lol), you and Daddy had some fun. Daddy said before he started taping, you were dancing and laughing like crazy. Even though you calmed down a bit, the video is still precious.
