Sample Schedule

Porky Pig,

At a little over 10 months, this is what your smedule looks like most days...

7:30 - wake up

8:00 - breakfast: oatmeal or rice cereal and 4 oz. fruit followed by a 4 oz. bottle

10:30 - nap (usually the longest at 1.5 hours)

12:00 - 6 oz. bottle

2:00ish - nap

3:00 - lunch: a 4 oz. veggie jar, a 4 oz. fruit jar, and a sippy with water

4:30-5:00 - nap numero tres

6:15-6:30 - dinner: varies but always with a sippy of water

9:00 - 6 oz. bottle

9:30 - nigh night mae mae

As far as dinner goes, here are some things you haven eaten:

1 6-8 oz. jar of protein (turkey, beef, or chicken)

avocado and mac and cheese

meatloaf (you LOVED this), green beans, and mac and cheese

swedish meatballs

many other foods I can't think of but you HAVE to be eating when we are or you freak out

Gonna be a big star

 May Day,

Today Mommy got an awesome call. You are one of the babies in the running to be in a major motion picture, Change-Up, coming out in 2012. Gram and I took you to the studio today and you played with a spoon while a man video taped you and a lady took stills. You had a good time then we met A.K. at Atlantic Station for lunch. It went so fast I didn't have time for pictures! This opportunity resulted from a casting Daddy took you to last week.

I love your agency and that they cast not only for products but movies too. Cross your fingers we are called. I know it would be a great opportunity for you since you LOVE people and being the star of the show. You have the biggest, deep blue eyes and lots (growth spurt last night) of coarse, long blonde hair. Numerous people compliment you on your long eyelashes. One even said they, "look like stars." Inside and out baby boy, inside and out.


While at Atlantic Station, the four of us went to Old Navy.

We ended the day with the Spinner clan trying to help rid you of your pompomophobia

You actually played with the handle part (big move for you) but when the streamer part of it touched you and it moved (by you), you had a panic attack. You start to shake and shake your head no. It is very sad. Maybe next time, Porky Pig...

10 months old

Happy birthday to my little peanut! We are in double digits now and only two more months until the big o-n-e. Here is what you are up to:
- working your way to two naps but it's rough!
- 4 teeth now! two bottom are BIG. one on the top is about half way down and the other just poked through the other day (tylenol to the rescue!).
-you put your lips under your gums (like an old man with no teeth) and make that popping noise with them. you can also put your tongue to the top of your mouth and make that clicking noise. you are a one man band!
- you truly NEVER stop talking
- you are a serious cruiser and take more risks each day

See what I mean?

- you understand right and wrong (at least with the fireplace and electronics) but don't care. stubborn, like Mommy.
- separation anxiety has begun. you hate it when I even leave the room (I am not going to lie, I like it)
- you say Mom all the time and sometimes blow bubbles when you say it (like A.K.)
- you do this weird thing on Nana (you chose it) and I's arm. you put your wide open mouth on our arm and move your head back and forth.
- you give sloppy kisses
- favorite foods: spaghetti and it must have lots of sauce, macaroni and cheese, and avacados

can you guess which one this is?

This was you on 9/8 last year. I was 29 weeks pregnant.

Little Labor Day Weekend

Peanut,

You and I went with A.J. and Wyatt to Savannah and Tybee Island for Labor Day weekend. The weather was perfect and so was the time we had together. You are AWESOME in the car on the way down and back up.

A.K. was able to meet us in Tybee and that made your time at the beach even better.  

You dug your first hole in the dry sand then crawled around in the sand.

Man, it was like 77 degrees with no sun, and we found a perfect spot right next to the water. You ate sand again and this time, you weren't as bothered by it. The tide was a bit crazy and it didn't bother you at all. I actually don't think I heard you the whole time we were down by the water.

You slept well on the trip and when you didn't, I snuck in cuddle time. You made a decision this weekend that I am not sure I am ready for though. You no longer have an interest in baby food. Breakfast...fine, lunch You loved shopping, River Street, and crawling around the pirate toy store (yeah, Mommy went crazy in there!)....only if it's fruit, but dinner HAS to be people food and you prefer to feed it to yourself.
Wyatt's aunt and uncle (who we stayed with) have two dogs. One of them was terrified of you because you are always on the move. Of course, that just intrigued you more. We got a lot of, "are they twins?" comments. Not sure how to take those but cute none the less. You got your first bug bite while we were taking pictures by the marsh. Overall, great trip and A.J. and I are looking forward to taking you boys on more semi-random get aways!

You are my sunshine

Stanky,

You continue to amaze Daddy and I every day. You wave bye bye and hi consistently now. You talk ALL the time. Your runny nose has finally subsided. You and Benjamin played a few nights ago and Daddy and I were wondering how much your 6 month age gap would show. Not at all! you played with him, grabbed at him, followed him around like you were the same age. He enjoyed feeding you cookies, sharing his sippy, and getting his hair pulled.

You are back to grabbing your feet all the time. You dance to music. Music is a huge part of your life and you continue to LOVE it. "You are my sunshine" is the new "Pretty Baby." Don't you love the picture on top? We were testing out hats for winter!

Much to say!

Turkey Leg,

Sorry I have not updated. Mommy missed you so much that she decided to quit her job so as you can imagine, life has been upside down. I still have at least a week there but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. In other news....

-you LOVE Minute Maid frozen lemonade

- you HATE vegetables 

- you pull up on everything and can now get down

- while standing holding on to something, you can bend down and grab things on the floor

- you laugh when something is actually funny


- you peek around the corner

- your temper tantrums are hilarious. you either beat your head on the floor or if Daddy or I pick you up, you will kick and throw your arms around while either whining or crying. you have also crossed your arms a few times.


- wires and the fireplace and the electronics combined with the rubber corners you pulled off from the coffee table make wonderful toys

- you get on your tippy toes to reach things. you get as high as the window sill and your blue nightstand and can pull the blinds down

- you push your walker and cruise the furniture with ease

- your top right tooth has emerged and with it, a runny nose and a yucky cough. thank Jesus for Tylenol

- you definitely have sometimes when you just need mommy

- expert with a sippy, not so much with self-feeding. you would rather mash the food

- yesterday, you pulled up on the night stand, walked into the stack of books and started pulling things off your night stand. you also climbed on the bottom shelf and crawled on top of the books. yes, we have a climber 

- you like to push things and play under tables

- your third Braves game was a hit (haha)

Mason Di Vinci

Mason,

Last night, you created 2 works of art. The two of us spent the evening with Wyatt and his mommy and you two are a case. Wyatt would throw his upper body onto the play mat and you would laugh hysterically at him. You would lift up the edge of the rug, he would push it down. Jordan and I kept pretending we were you guys saying what we thought you were thinking. After dinner, we took you guys outside and you both finger painted. You knew exactly what to do and just dove in, even trying to help Wyatt (he liked to throw his paper).

Of course, bath time was next on the agenda

Then a little more play time

Grandma took you to your 9 month appointment today. You weighed 18 lbs. 4 ounces. You are in the 25th percentile for weight, height, and head circumference. A.K. and Kimmy also took you to a special mall with a carousel. 

Grandma said you sat on the horse like you owned it and loved every second of it.
